Why do I need to register for an online account.
In order to use the Online Booking Service you will need to register for an online account. The Online Booking Service is a real time booking system which requires a valid email account to allow the system to send future correspondance and payment receipts in relation to your booking.
To register for an online account you must provide a valid email address and create a username and password of your choice. Your username and password will be emailed to the address provided by you, clicking on the hyperlink contained within the email will authenticate your online account and return you to the Online Booking Service so that you can login to your account and proceed with your booking.

What details are required?
In order for us to process your booking, you must submit certain personal details such as your forename, surname, date of birth, current address and contact details. We will only use your personal details in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Please read our Privacy Policy as it contains important information about the use of your personal data and other information regarding your privacy and our security processes and policies.
Stage 3: Choose your accommodation preferences.
In order to help us allocate you to a suitable room we request that you enter your preferred sharing preference; same sex, mixed or no preference plus any personal preferences that you may have. Please note that we cannot however, ensure that the room allocated to you will match all of your specified preferences.
Stage 4: Choose your instalment schedule and provide details of your guarantor.
Do I need a guarantor?
A UK resident guarantor is required for all UK resident students and international students wishing to pay in three instalments.
Guarantor details
If you need a guarantor, you will need to provide us with your guarantor's personal details. You must gain your guarantor's consent to the provision of their personal details to us before doing so. Upon successful completion of your booking, a guarantor form will be emailed to you and the email address you must provide for your guarantor. You must ensure that your guarantor signs the guarantor's form and that the guarantor's form is returned to us by post to the address specified on the guarantor's form, together with a copy of a current council tax bill as proof of address.
What is a guarantor?
A guarantor is usually a parent, guardian or family relation. Should you default in the payment of your rent or any other monies payable under the Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreement (AST), Your guarantor will be expected; upon written demand, to pay all outstanding amounts due to the landlord.
What are the Terms and Conditions of the Online Booking Service?
By completing a booking with us, you are entering into a legally binding agreement for the booking of a room within one of our residences. The services provided by us under this agreement include the processing of your booking and the holding of a room for you. What is an AST?
By submitting your booking, you are also agreeing to the terms of an AST, which is separate to this booking agreement and governs your use of the room. An AST is a legally binding contract which gives the tenant the sole right to occupy the room for the specified period, after which the right to occupy the room is returned to the landlord.
What payments am I required to make?
In order to complete your booking you are required to pay the £200 Booking Fee / Deposit immediately and also to authorise us to collect the rent instalments on the due dates.
In both instances you are required to pay by either a debit or credit card (a 2% charge is levied for payment by credit card). Your guarantor, parent or guardian may make this payment on your behalf in which case you must ensure that you have the cardholder's consent before submitting their details to us.
What happens if I change my mind?
Full details of our cancellation policy are set out in the Terms and Conditions of the Online Booking Service. Please note that, although in certain circumstances you have the right to cancel your booking upon successful completion of your application, a confirmation email will be sent to you confirming that we are processing your booking and from the date we send you the email, you will not have the right to change your mind, cancel your booking and claim a refund of your Booking Fee / Deposit unless:
- This is your 1st year of study and you advise us by email no later than 27th August 2010 that you have not been accepted by the University of your choice and wish to cancel your booking; or
- You find a replacement tenant, acceptable to LibertyLiving, who wishes to replace you as occupier of your room and enter into an AST with LibertyLiving on terms equal to the AST entered into by you.
in which case:
- £100 of your Booking Fee / Deposit will be retained by us in respect of administration costs and the remaining £100 of your Booking Fee / Deposit will be refunded to you.
- We will cease to provide the Online Booking Service; and
- We may reallocate your room.
Finish - Once your booking has been processed, the residence team will contact you via email when you have been allocated a specific room of your chosen room type.
